The Centre for Marriage and Family aims to help families becoming more of what they are by empowering them in the fullfillment of four General Tasks:
1) To form a community of persons
2) To serve life
3) To participate in the development of society
4) To share in the life and mission of the Church.
This is done by meeting the needs of the HEART of families.
HEART stands for:
Humanitarian Aid (Family Based)- Provide aid to families and children in crisis
Education- Form Christian families in the faith in order for them to learn and to apply biblical principles/Christian teaching to their family life. Educate on the cultural, social and legal dynamics affecting marriage, family and children
Advocacy - Promote programs and public policies that strengthen families and serve the best interests of children
Research- Encourage research into important family issues
Transform- Work for the transformation of society through prayer and action
